Joey McIntyre Expecting a New Kid on the Block

Joey McIntyre's got the dad stuff again.

The New Kids on the Block crooner—who, despite his 36 years, will always remain the baby-faced member of the erstwhile '80s teen supergroup—has confirmed he and his wife, Barrett, are expecting their second child in December, a friend tells E! News.

No doubt he'll be loving them forever.

"I still can't get over it," McIntyre tells People. "We feel so blessed."

The happy couple, who are the proud parents of 20-month-old son Griffin, are takin' it step by step after learning unexpectedly they were going to be adding another boy to their brood.

"We were shocked," the singer said, adding that he and the missus had a girl's name all ready to go. "It's going to be a trip to have a couple of boys around."

McIntyre, who's the youngest of nine, is currently on the road in the middle of the New Kids on the Block's successful reunion tour, which stops in Englewood, Colo., tonight and Dallas on Friday.

The couple already has one son, Griffin, 20 months. That block sure is getting bigger, as this child will mean the 90s band currently on a reunion tour will have nine kids between the five of them!

McIntyre tells People that his wife took a pregnancy test but thought it was negative. "She came out and gave me this look like, 'No.' Then she showed me the test and I said 'It's positive! What the hell?'" Another surprise came later when they learned they were having a boy instead of a girl. The excited parents had a girl's name picked out but McIntyre says, "It's going to be a trip to have a couple of boys around."

The New Kids tour will wrap up on July 18 and by then McIntyre hopes to have collected 25,000 books for the foundation he started called "Let's Get This Foundation." Fans that attend the band's concert donate new and used books for children that are then distributed to children in need. McIntyre says his wife and son inspired him to create the foundation because of their love of reading. "Then I found out there's a lack of age-appropriate books for kids, I saw a huge void and I knew our fans could step up."

Joey McIntyre is to become a father for the second time.

The New Kids on the Block singer has announced his wife Barrett - with who he has 20-month-old son Griffin - is pregnant with a boy, and is expected to give birth in December.

Joey said: "I still can't get over it. We feel so blessed.

"My wife actually took the pregnancy test but she thought it was negative. She came out and gave me this look like, 'No.' Then she showed me the test and I said, 'It's positive! What the hell?' "

The 36-year-old singer added the couple initially thought they were having a girl, and had even picked out her name.

But Joey is thrilled to be welcoming another boy into the family, enthusing it will be a "trip" to have two sons.

Griffin is also excited at the prospect of becoming a big brother and can't wait for the baby to be born.

Joey explained to People magazine: "He keeps kissing mommy's belly. We say to him all the time, 'Do you want us to bring home a baby?' and he always replies, 'Please!'

"I think we have a deal to keep going until we have a girl. That's what my wife says."
