Diario La Tercera: Donnie Wahlberg: From tough guy to police

New Kids On The Block.

From tough guy to police

In his look there is no clue to his past. No piercings, no T-shirts with skulls or less Medium drop boxes. Not for nothing has been two decades since the golden era of New Kids On The Block. Donnie Wahlberg, the rude boy of one of the most successful boybands now Danny Reagan, police detective in New York and the eldest son of the clan. "I know that all my New Kids fans follow the show. Now they see with their husbands and children. They are much of the success of the series," he says proudly. "They are the most loyal fans in the world. Come to visit the set and wait outside in the rain and snow to say hello. When I was young I thought everything was going to last forever, so now I appreciate more the warmth of them" he says.

Wahlberg also takes care of the criticism because, for example, your character solves all the cases. "We do not show the chapters where not resolved, because people do not want to see," he says ironically. He adds: "In the first season there were times when he was Superman and that's a bit unreal. In this new cycle we focus more on family and explore the cases differently. Danny will be more human."

But Wahlberg NKOTB some left. Although far from his style of early 90's, still goes on tour with his band. In fact, he says that maybe are going to South America this year.
