Renowned for Sound interview with Jordan Knight

Interview: New Kids On The Block New Kids on the Block have long been considered the original pop boy band and an act that helped pave the way for many others including Backstreet Boys and N’Sync. With a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, an animated TV series, a US day in honor of them (April 24) and having sold over 80 million records, as well as almost every music award you can think of being handed to them, there are very few things the group haven’t accomplished. On top of that, the band have been hangin’ tough in their original line-up since 1984, keeping fans happy for 40 years – no easy feat in pop music. Showing they are still kids at heart and as strong a unit as ever, the 5-piece that is made up of Jordan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre and Danny Wood, are releasing their brand new studio album, Still Kids on May 17 and is fronted by the single, Kids. New Kids on the Block Talk Their First Album in 11 Years and the Secret to Staying Together (Exclusive) With their newly released eight studio album, the New Kids on the Block are going strong nearly 40 years later. Nearly 40 years later, they're Still Kids. As the title of their eighth studio album reaffirms, the New Kids on the Block are still together making music for their devoted fans. On Friday, their first album in 11 years dropped shortly after celebrating the 35th anniversary of New Kids on the Block Day on April 24. While it's been a long road from childhood friends to famous teen heartthrobs to reuniting as adults, they credit their longevity to the root of their group: friendship. "I think our secret is we're friends first and then business partners second," Jonathan Knight told ET at the group's rehearsal for their upcoming tour, the Magic Summer 2024 Tour. "I think we go into everything we do as friends and respect each other. And, you know...

Excited about New Kids On The Block’s new album — Still Kids! It’s kind of like we went back into the studio in the late ‘80s, armed with what we’ve learned over the last four decades. My current music collection has a lot of Hip Hop, Yacht Rock, and disco. And a little bit of Country. 5 Albums I Can’t Live Without: 1- Golden Hour, Kacey Musgraves This album just pulls at the heart strings in all the best ways and “Butterflies” is literally the story of my relationship with my wife. 2. It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, Public Enemy My college-aged years were spent on tour with this album on repeat.
