It's time for another round of panels and parties thanks to the 2010 Summer Press Tour, also known as the TCA's (Television Critics Association). CBS was first up today and they had lots of star power on hand including Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg who came to discuss their new family cop drama, Blue Bloods.
Blue Bloods follows several generations of New York City cops as they deal with both issues on the job and off. Tom Selleck plays patriarch Frank Regan. He is the Chief of Police and the head of the household.
Danny (Wahlberg) is the eldest son, an Irqi War vet who believes that ends justify the means. Jaime (Will Estes) is the wide-eyed boy right out of Harvard Law but instead of going with his degree, he decides to become a cop. Erin (Bridget Moynahan) is the one girl in the family. She's an Assistant DA and a single parent.
It's business as usual for the family until Jaime is asked to take part in a secret investigation that could rip the family apart.
The series is due to air Friday nights at 10:00 on CBS.
