preview of interview with Jordan Knight

from Sean's Space:

I just got off the phone with Jordan Knight…
And … just as I promised, I posed not one but several questions that his fans e-mailed me for consideration during the interview. Jordan gave really thoughtful answers and it was great to talk to him about his career both with the New Kids and his solo projects, which has spanned a quarter-century. Remember: The New Kids’ self-titled debut CD, seen here, came out in 1986! (In fact, that’s JK in the pink sweater, hanging from the street light … kinda makes us all feel old, right?!) He also gave a few clues as to what we fans can expect during this summer’s NKOTBSB mega-tour.

…and in my almost 15 years as a reporter, I’ve never had a more fulfilling interview, being able to talk one-on-one to one of my favorite celebrities of all-time about his work.Jordan took almost 20 minutes out of busy schedule putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming “Unfinished” solo CD — “Today, it will be finished!” he proclaimed — and rehearsals for the upcoming NKOTBSB tour to chat about everything from his local KFest appearance in June, to the possibility of a future solo tour and a new New Kids On The Block CD, among other topics.
“I’ll do some new stuff, some old stuff and some New Kids stuff,” Jordan told me, when I asked about what his set at the June 5 KFest might look like. “I think I will mix in one or two New Kids songs, for sure. I never not do New Kids stuff. I think that’s what people expect.”
My full story about Jordan coming to town will run in the June 3 edition of the Poughkeepsie Journal and online on our website. Until then, keep coming back to “Sean’s Space” early next week, as I’ll post more excerpts from my interview, including Jordan’s answers to some of your questions!
