VH1 excusive! Go Behind The Scenes Of The “Remix (I Like The)” Video Shoot With New Kids On The Block

it makes our brains hurt to think that the debut New Kids On The Block record came out almost 27 years ago (!!!), but it’s very gratifying to see DannyDonnieJoeyJon and Jordan still churning out hits after all these years. VH1 was able to score this exclusive footage from the set of their upcoming video for “Remix (I Like The),” the first single off the band’s latest album, 10(due to be released on April 2), which we’d like to exclusively share with you, the Blockheads! Watch it above!
“It’s a little bit of pop, little bit of soul, little bit of rock,” Jordan Knight told us about the new song, which is one of the catchiest tracks the band has EVER released (see the video below). Joey McIntrye went in another direction with his description, in which he referenced the speech from the 1976 film Network that won Peter Finch a posthumous Oscar. “It’s the song after someone says ‘I’m mad as hell and I’m not gonna take it anymore.’ This is their celebration song.”
“Remix (I Like The)” is currently for sale in the iTunes store, and the Blockheads are already counting down the days until 10 comes out. New Kids On The Block will also be going on tour this summer with their boy band compatriots Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees who, contrary to popular opinion, they get along quite well with. “Everybody assumes boy bands all hate each other,” Donnie Wahlberg explained, “but I’m not sure what that’s all about. I’m sure we’re gonna have a little fun. SKULLDUGGERY!”
